I am using Windows 10 Pro Build 19013.vb_release.191025-1609. Now I cannot use external hard drives.
When plugging external hard drive I can hear the sound of something is connected. But, the drive never displayed in This PC.
Checking Disk Management, the disk is not even there.
Checking Device Manager, one device is malfunction: USB Attached SCSI (UAS) Mass Storage Device.
The device status is:

I don't understand this error.

EDIT: This appears to have now been fixed in the following build
It looks like this issue is acknowledged in the 'Known Issues' section of the latest Insider build.
So at least we know Microsoft is aware of the problem and we'll hopefully see it fixed soon. The bad news is, of course, that it's not fixed yet.
Yes, it certainly appears to be an "insider build issue". I posted at the feedback hub and after being advised to back out of the program I did as suggested and did a "Custom Installation: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 and now the problem has been resolved. All three of the drives which were producing yellow triangles are all mounting and are readable/writable now. My only outstanding problem is another 3 LACIE rugged FW USB3 SCSI DISK DRIVEs that show up under "devices and printers", show no problem in the usb storage controllers section, and can be rejected down in the right hand corner. They just are not visible on the desktop and can't be either read or written to. There is no problem with the drives as I can attach them to my Macbook Pro without any problem.
Any suggestions as I didn't get past first base with Lacie support?
Would appreciate anybody feedback on this issue if possible although I'm more than satisfied having solved the "yellow triangle" problem.

Oh, many many thanks for your post and the reply by you unpvg. I have exactly the same problem with over 3 external HDDs which don't show up on my new Surface Pro 7 but do on my old and "programmatic Surface Pro 4" . I only have the "yellow triangle" on these drives and the "error 10". Another 3 lacie HDDs show in the "device and printers" but don't show on the desktop. I have had US and Japanese Microsoft technical support this week unable to find the fault also. Now I will just wait until Microsoft does an update which fixes this problem.
Thank you once again for restoring my confidence that Microsoft will resolve this problem in a new update shortly.

But I found a workaround: using WinPE or Sudo utility, rename C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\uaspstor.sys to uaspstor.sys.bak, copy USBSTOR.sys in place and rename to uaspstor.sys.
After reboot machine, my external HDD works again.
So, obviously, this issue was related to uaspstor.sys, aka UASP driver.
Support from Raidsonic, supplier of the IcyBox IB-3740-C31 told me to check the box on another Computer. Well it works on the Business Notebook. Therefore I updating Drivers and Bios on my personal notebook, but didn't help. I contacted HP by phone. I've got following answer:
"USB-C Type is nod designed for external Flash drives and if it worked ones, they could not guarantee it will work in future"
Good I found this thread finally and the work around. It was not possible to install Sudo, so my workaround Trusted Installer was to take over the ownership of the file. Then grant full access.
Problems after this workaround, the small USB Flash drive were not recognized. There was still yellow triangle in the device Manager. I updated the USB Mass storage device with USBSTOR.sys from the directory C:\WINDOWS\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository. I thought this is missing now, because I renamed without copy.
However, all drives work again finally.
Glad to help you. USBSTOR.sys can not be renamed directly, cause it was needed by USB Massive Storage.
