New Windows 10 update making everything slow

So apparently Windows decided to automatically update itself while I was away from the PC. When I’m trying to log in, it takes ridiculously long (around 30-40 minutes). So I tried restarting, but startup is SUPER slow to the point that I’m stuck waiting for a black screen of death. Why is my PC slow after this recent update?

EXACTLY!! Windows pushes bloated updates and should have the foresight to ensure the new **** meets original system requirements.  Instead they prefer to screw with 2-3 year laptops.  Even my Alienware which is not exactly an Amazon doorbuster.

    Roll everything back!!!!!

    Hi Richard

All I did was to create an image (Ghost) of my Brand New Installation of Win10(Yuk) and thus far it is running pefectly touch wood.

When it starts to slow down all I will do is re-install Windows 10. As I stated previously all my data is backed onto a separate disk thus I do not lose any data and my primary apps eg. Office Acrobat etc get re-installed. I use Samsung software and it takes in all about 20 minutes to re-install my 500Gb SSD.

    Cheers

Hi Greg can you please repeat all of the above, but this time in English for us poor Aussies. To blow your argument I have just spent 4 bloody hours installing windows 10 on a Brand New Hard Drive, Lenovo Laptop, 1Tb HDD, 8gb RAM DDR3, i7 Intel Processor, 8th Gen.

I upgraded from Win 7 Ultimate and by Jingo my Win 7 moved a lot faster then Win 10. So perhaps we in Australia do not get the proper win 10 or something fishy is going on.

I previously had Win 10 on a PC running similar specs and I went back to Win 7 because I spent half my life waiting for Win 10 to download upgrades etc and the other half waiting to install them. No wonder I went back to Win 7 so at least I could do some work. Today I decided to give Win 10 another go, so purchased a Brand New HHD (What a waste of Money) and installed Win 10, this evening.  Looks like Nothing has changed, if anything it is a lot worse   Soooooooooooooo Slooooooooooooooow - NOT HAPPY JAN    You Guessed it looks like I will be going back to Windows 7 Ultimate on my Laptop and Sticking with WIN & Ultimate on my PC much to Microsoft's disappointment.
