Really it is annoying issue, we need a solution soon!!!
File Explorer search not working in Windows 10 1909
Ever since I updated to Windows 10 1909 the Search Box in the File Explorer is completely unuseable. It shows a text cursor but I cannot click inside the box or type any text into it. Essentially it's a text box with no "wiring".
Any ideas how to resolve this issue? I'm having to resort to using a third-party search app just to find files in my projects.
Kind regards
Byron

2020-01-24T05:13:20+00:00 I have the same problem too and I really need the search feature. The search feature is not something which hardly anyone uses, please try to do more than just escalating the error issue. You guys at Microsoft are supposed to be geniuses when it comes to fixing important problems that many people are having with this upgrading to new versions. I am sure you guys really know your stuff.... That's why you get such a big paycheck.

2020-01-24T01:45:46+00:00 My issue specifically has to do with the unavailability of the ribbon menu option for search. One of the more frequent searches I use is search by kind. In the past, clicking in the Explorer search box would bring up a ribbon menu for these types of additional search options. That no longer happens with the latest build release.
I do not find answers in this thread to my specific problem. Should I start a different thread?
No. This one is sufficient...
