File Explorer search not working in Windows 10 1909

Ever since I updated to Windows 10 1909 the Search Box in the File Explorer is completely unuseable. It shows a text cursor but I cannot click inside the box or type any text into it. Essentially it's a text box with no "wiring". 

Any ideas how to resolve this issue? I'm having to resort to using a third-party search app just to find files in my projects.

    Didn't work for me

    Nor did the nearly 100 other remedies found.

    Its simply broken in 1909 and Microsoft needs to fix it!!

    Windows 10 Broken Search after 1909 and because I didn't notice it within the first 10 days I'm not able to restore past 10 days of update.

    First why did Microsoft remove the ability to revert?

    Second, when will Microsoft fix this critical issue?

    Third, why hasn't Microsoft provided a method to roll back to 1903?

    Why the Branch of Microsoft Window dont use is own tool ? they buy Github and they not using it for Window  ??

    It the most powerfull tool for track issue and share information.

    Some groups within MS use it internally for incident tracking, etc., but they need something much more basic than that when dealing with Windows client users.

    InformatiqueLepage, apparently, this is not an area that Microsoft is listening to.

    For greater impact, try using this method:

    1. Press the Windows key
    2. Type 'Feedback hub' and press enter
    3. Fill in all of the appropriate forms and give the details of your issue.

    If you see existing posts on the issue, it may help to 'like' or press 'I too have this issue' or similar.

    It already done, but no response!

    They have like ~200 thread without tracking or answer on this error!

    And also the Window commentary****Feedback hub it totally a garbage app!

    We need a Github Issue Tracking like they do for Microsoft Vscode.

    This is a very good tool for talk and report issue tracking.
