2019-12-16T16:35:19+00:00 Hi Mark, and thanks again for all your help with this. What you mention above sounds very technical for me and I am very anxious about trying a fresh install now.
This is my laptop, which I purchased on December 29th 2018:
Medion Erazer P7651 Core i7-8550U 8GB 1TB & 128GB GeForce GTX 1050 17.3 Inch Windows 10 Gaming Laptop
I don't know what you mean by "the issuing devices". The webcam, USB3 and one of the USB2s are not working I don't know the brand of those or what drivers they were using.
As I purchased new last December, it did not have a previous OS that I can see.
Thanks again.
Regards
Tommy

2019-12-16T11:54:36+00:00 Hi again
There has been no answer to my previous reply, nor has there been a resolution to the issue - I am still without my webcam, USB3 and one of my USB2s. This delay in getting a proper update is now ridiculous and shows a complete lack of respect on the part of Microsoft to solve an issue which is of their making. I have lost many hours of time, work and hence payment because of this issue.
Hi mate, apologies for the delayed response on my part. Am still ot 100 percent on the background only from my own experience and that of others were i've tested almost every avenue to no avail. the most common factor i found was it seemed to be an issue where people had a previous OS on the same hardware prior to the win10 build where this issue arose.
For me personally i had to do a fresh install and ran the PC first from a portable environment and added all the Chipset drivers, then re-installed win 10 latest build. this worked for me also the usb filter driver updates seemed a temp fix. sorry nothing permanent beyond that atm.
Would you mind adding your spec and the issuing devices to a reply and I can investigate further for you if you like
regards Mark

Hopefully it will be resolved eventually.
Kind regards
Your very welcome friend, am sure it will !....The justification I take into consideration with Windows 10 is that Microsoft pretty much overhauled there whole web based layout and functionality between the OS 10 itself and their previous OS'es entire catalogue. This is a massive overhaul to consider as well as the functionality issues many are experiencing with the current build. Am confident it wont be long.
