Jack, in case it matters, which it probably doesn't, when you say "the one on the left shows the
Glance screen with the setting "Show Lock screen background picture" set to ON. The one on the right has that option set to off. So I can only assume you made those changes. AS far as I know, the only difference is your device will use less power if you choose to not show that background. Clicking the Power button should turn the device on AND a double-tap (quickly, one after another) will also do the same thing", you should remember that I've just been thru 20+ WDRTs and I took those
2 images using a camera and I combined them to show them side-by-side for some silly reason.
So, yes, there have been a few times when things were going so good that I let myself start setting things up & thinking that I'd finally stumbled upon a lasting fix. But as you guys have noticed, nothing has ever lasted more that 15 or 20 minutes or sometimes
only until I let it drift off to the Lock Screen.
So since I only ever did the very first WDRT at the beginning of this long thread, what mechanically could possibly be causing me to not ever have been able to Attach a Photo to a new Text Message, Email or posting on m.facebook.com and yet I could go into
Photos, select one or many and choose to either Send via Messaging or Outlook Email?
I'm no expert (of course) but that sure seems like a software issue to me.
But as you say and I think Gary said too, it almost has to be a bad hardware thing since no matter how I try doing a Reset, it never works.
I should toss in that I might not have ever said it yet, but in every instance I got it going, no matter how long for, it NEVER would then be able Attach a Photo to a new Text Message, Email or posting on m.facebook.com.
So, that does point to something wrong with the Photo APP and not the physical Camera, right? So doesn't it seem like those WDRTs would have been fixing that all along?
One last question, when the new Tuesday Windows 10 Mobile update comes out in a few weeks, even though I've now got my SIM card in my son's old iPhone 5-S so I have something to use, would I be able to just turn ON my Nokia 950 and connect it to my PC by
cable and have WDRT stick that new version of Windows 10 Mobile in it without even needing to put the SIM card back into it so I could give it a try?
