Hello, I was trying to import photos from my iPhone via charging cable and upon import the photo app freezes. I reset my phone and tried again and it worked for the first import but another problem is that I can only upload 3-4 videos at a time before the photos app says something went wrong and I have to start the whole process all over again. Because of this, when I go to import again it just freezes once it hits my total photo and video count. This problem has been persistent ever since I started uploading photos and videos this past year or two and it really hinders my progress. Thanks for any help.

Thanks, but which one? All those except perhaps the taking ownership of the Pictures folder are already mentioned here and mostly not worked.
For me Fix-4 Take ownership of Picture folder worked.
Thanks for all the suggestions to everybody out there… But I finally found out what really works and it should work for anyone! On your iPhone, turn off your data, turn off your Wi-Fi. Once I did this, I have no problem transferring all my files off my iPhone to my PC with zero issues! Oh what a relief it is!

I followed all of these steps. It started importing photos, but eventually froze after importing about 25 pics and I could never get it to work again.... Back to the drawing board...

This is complete insanity. I always back up photos to multiple places and categorize them in the PC. Having to download a zip file from the cloud and remember which ones you already imported is ludicrous. This used to work great, now they broke it!
