I do have a security system on my computer which is how I know what infected it. As a rule of thumb, when you download anything on your computer make sure nothing else comes over with it. Once it comes the system will alert you and it has to be cleaned, but it's still a headache. The JAVA stuff like ads come over and it basically slows down your computer until it eventually shuts it down.
Is Mp3 rocket shut down?
Mp3 rocket says website mp3rocket.me Ip address has changed. I get 404 forbidden website error. Itried reinstalling with anti virus turned off still it says website does not exist and my file is corrupted. I fully scanned my pc and found no errors.

2019-07-11T09:58:13+00:00 I absolutely understand! I purchased the LIFETIME membership and I am a little peeved too. The least they could do was give a notice...the most they could do, if they switched sites is send their already paying members a link to their new site!
I am disappointed to, as this was the BEST mp3 site ever! I used it one morning the next poof it was gone and has not been back on since! :(

2019-07-10T19:14:10+00:00 Thanks for the site info. I had issues with Rocket at first. I got a virus several times, but had to get rid of java that was coming with the songs. I did try a couple sites last week, and it got me again. I had to get my computer cleaned. hopefully something will come along because I hate to have to start buy a full CD for one or two songs.
Hi. I am shocked that you think you were infected by any Rocket file! I NEVER had a solitary issue of any kind (java or anything else) in many years! Whatever the case may have been, may I suggest you buy NORTON 360 yearly? It is a GREAT program & SUPER CHEAP on eBay. You may buy a full year there by buying a key for very few dollars. I have been doing that for many years now. (Before that I paid full price on the Norton site). The keys are authentic & Norton approved. They will even install them for you for free if you need help. NORTON 360 will ZAP any virus from ANYWHERE right away! /// Tell me about it!!! I HATE not having my Rocket for sundry songs on a regular basis!!! FINGERS CROSSED for a NEW ALTERNATIVE VERY SOON !!! I think that will happen... Keep in touch :)

2019-07-10T04:05:01+00:00 be careful b/c i read there are some virus links when you click on a song because it redrects you to another page. Also there are pop ups too. Be very careful.
Hi Robin. THAT IS RIGHT !!! One of the GREAT things about Rocket was how SAFE it was !!! Not only is there NOT anything else out there like it YET, I am also leery of what little is available... I am waiting for the NEW ROCKET... Hope we do not have to wait long!!! (How HARD could it be to start our own) ???
Hope we can keep this loop active till a safe and certified alternative is found.
Hope also that the original mp3 rocket owners will ask for donations to get them out of trouble.
OK, so there isa royalty issue with stuff..... lets be fair, these are the consequences of "free", eventually it's gone because cash is king, thats the bottom line. I would rather pay a yearly fee, and know it's safe and certified.
EXACTLY !!! Instead of a Lifetime Membership, which I had, how about a YEARLY MEMBERSHIP ? Twenty Dollars a Year (IF EVERYONE PAID) should keep them healthy... I wish we had had that opportunity before they went down... Hopefully, one of the principals will start over with a similar site & ask for yearly memberships next time... FINGERS CROSSED !!! :)
