Is Mp3 rocket shut down?

Further searches said same, some sort of money problem.

It happens with free for life software / anything else for that matter, well, makes sense, "for life", till go bust.

Hope there is an alternative soon, please post if there is, I am no "under the hood" IT expert, I am sure those who are will test the alternatives.

I'm having the same problem, I've been using Mp3 Rocket for over 10yrs. I wish they would say something! I cant find any site to download my music from now without fearing my computer will crash. If anybody has a Alterative please let me know 

Hi Pamil28, We are all in the same boat... The ONLY other site online where members are discussing the sudden disappearance of MP3 Rocket/Pro is on Facebook (where no one from Rocket is responding either)... There is a rumor that the sudden disappearance was due to bankruptcy, which makes more sense than any other explanation, but until a PRINCIPAL comments, no one knows... If it IS bankruptcy, it is really sad, because I KNOW most members would have been happy to pay more, & MOST free users would have paid something to save the company... In any case, I AM hoping Rocket comes back... It COULD... In the meanwhile, I am looking for an alternative... Unfortunately, AND very surprisingly, there is NOTHING else like it (YET)... PLEASE keep in touch here while we all continue to sort this out. Thank You :)

We do not know anything... I HOPE we WILL find something out from those who really know what happened eventually... NOT EVEN LIFETIME MEMBERS were notified!!! Lets work on this together.

Mp3 rocket says website mp3rocket.me Ip address has changed. I get 404 forbidden website error. Itried reinstalling with anti virus turned off still it says website does not exist and my file is corrupted. I fully scanned my pc and found no errors.

STRANGE , ISN'T IT THAT, AS POPULAR(?) AND WIDESPREAD AS MP3R/P IS (WAS), THERE WAS NO NEWS STORY ABOUT THIS? SHOULDN'T THE MP3 OWNERSHIP OR A NEWS SERVICE HAVE PUBLICIZED IT? AM I MISSING SOMETHING? COULDN'T MP3 AT LEAST HAVE PUT A NOTICE ON THEIR MAIN WEBSITE? DON'T CUSTOMERS (PAID SUBSCRIBERS AND FREE USERS) DESERVE SOME NOTICE? COULDN'T THEY AT LEAST HAVE SAID "WE'RE SORRY, GOODBYE"?

Right, reinstalling will not work. The download is no longer there... No worries about virus though... I still have my app.... but it will not download,,,
