I can't access Nextdoor to read postings.  Message reads "The request could not be satisfied.  Generated by Cloudfront."  Sometimes there is an 494 error message.  Any ideas how to get rid of this?

I believe that it is just a bad cookie that is not getting replaced.

This has been suggested previously, and a number of posts have indicated that it works.  I chose not to go through the rigamarole, especially re-signing into saved Web sites, and just use IE.  My understanding is that it works just as well to switch to Firefox, and my wife uses Chrome for Nextdoor with nary a hassle.  I continue to use Edge for most of my browsing, it's just a click of an icon to go back and forth from Edge to something else that works better for a specific purpose such as this.  Too bad that the Edge folks can't get it to work as well as other browsers for Nextdoor, or don't care to make the fix, but oh well.

You might try this, had the same problem and it is now resolved.

    open ms edge

open settings (the three … at the top-right, underneath the X.

open settings at the bottom of the list

    open Privacy & Security

Under clear browsing history, check "choose what to clear"

check the box for cookies & saved website data

hit the clear button, may take a few seconds to clear them all

be sure and uncheck the cookies and saved websites box when its done

    restart browser

You will have to resign in to some or all of your saved websites, including nextdoor

    Hope this works

i can't find a way to access Nextdoor, what is the alternative to this?  Anyone?

I asked an MS tech and he had no answer except to load IE 11.  I can access Nextdoor using Internet Explorer 11.  I just go to Control panel - click on the header "Programs" (not the option under it) ; then the header, "Default Programs"; then select Set your default program for your Web Browser to Internet Explorer from Microsoft Edge and vice versa if you want to use Edge again.  However, when I play games, IE 11 goes very slow compared to Edge.  You will also receive a warning message in yellow at the top that MS won't support IE 11 soon, etc. when IE first comes up.  So don't worry about that.  My method is much easier than what's below but he had some other info as well.

The MS Tech Abhishek K gave the following response:

If you are using Edge and want to use IE11, click on the 3 dots at the upper right corner and select Open with Internet Explorer.

    Other options:

Type Internet Explorer into the search box at the bottom of the screen. Find Internet Explorer in the list of results, right-click it to either Pin to taskbar or Pin to Start.

To make IE the default browser:

Start button> Settings> System> left side menu, select Default Apps then select Set Defaults by App. Select Internet Explorer.
