When I try to access the Microsoft Store I get Error Code: 0x80131500     CV: 0H5MOZaq8Uye8k8W

I've tried wsreset.exe- no success

I've tried https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4027498/microsoft-store-fix-problems-with-apps - no success

I've tried to reset my region, language, and speech - no success

I've deleted the contents of the download directory and the datastore directory in c:\windows\softwaredistribution - no success

Ideas?

Before you go through all of the Ultra-Geeky hassle (and possibly dangerous) methods above, try checking your Internet Security settings as outlined below:

Possible Fix:

Search for "Internet Options"

Open the App

Select the "Advanced" Tab

Scroll to the Bottom of the List where you can see "Use SSL/TLS"

UN-Select SSL 3.0 and TLS 1.0 and 1.1

SELECT TLS 1.2 and (If Available) TLS 1.3

Click "Apply"

Click "OK"

Reboot Computer

YMMV

Good Luck!

    Ideas?

I have tried at least 1000 different things to try to fix this problem with MS Store Access and Error Code 0x80131500 with no success.  Also had issues with a Network Drive access asking for User Name and Password, and that is how I found the answer.  Windows 10 Pro using a Netgear Router with five machines.  Only one PC had this problem, all were updated to all the fixes as of 6/17/2020.  You will likely find that this is caused by a related Windows Network Service being Disabled or turned to Manual.

You can try these things which are mentioned in **WD Website:  Share Access Failure - You might not have permissions to use this network...**313

    Here are the directions:

Type in:  Win+R (Windows Key with letter R)

    Type in:  Services.msc

    Maximize Screen

Be sure to "Apply" changes and then "OK" them

    Restart your machine when done.

(My theory is my machine was altered by a program with a "turbo" setting that shut down most all Network Services or a Network Drive Software altering the settings)

Ensure the following Windows Services are running and set toAutomatic.

Please follow the steps outlined below this list for instructions on how to make changes if needed.

    ·        Computer Browser

    ·        DHCP Client

    ·        DNS Client

    ·        Network Location Awareness

    ·        Function Discovery Resource Publication

    ·        Plug and Play

    ·        SSDP Discovery

    ·        Storage Server

    ·        Server

    ·        UPnP Device Host

    ·        TCP/IP NetBIOS Helper

    ·        Workstation

Let me know if this works for you.
