KB4474419 will not install

Are there any approaches that do not involve removing other bootloaders or disks? I'm using an old Z800 workstation which only offers BIOS instead of the more modern UEFI. However I managed to boot Windows 7 on an NVME SSD using a CLOVER USB stick. Removing the CLOVER stick would make the system unbootable because BIOS does not support NVME.

It looks like many have tried different methods, but nothing works. The update clearly has bugs and needs to be fixed by Microsoft.

I have the same annoying problem on both on my single OS Windows 7 Professional x64 machines.

WU KB4474419-x64 and KB4489878-x64 would not install "Failure to Configure ...Reverting Back" message while other updates such as Windows Defender definition and Security Update for Microsoft Windows KB4486563 installed with no issues during the same session.  Spent two days trying everything I could find online to no avail even download the msu files to manually install, deleted Software Distribution folders etc...  Looked at the log and it says it is 0x80070005 error code which could mean a permission denial problem, but I am the sole administrator and all privileges are checked.  Any more ideas I should try ?

I'll be trying later on with WUInstall,  that saved me from some trouble in Windows XP 64 bits, for some reason some updates refused to even show up, but people remember how winupdate was pretty bad on XP, even on XP x64 which was superior and I used it for 10 years until I couldn't. I would use WUD or WUInstall on there mostly.

We are having the same issue on multiple servers 2008 r2 and win 7 computers, there is no dual boot or linux on them, all of them are vm. KB4474419 does not install, tried everything. Can Microsoft shed some light on this? Their updates are getting insanely ridiculous, you are almost better off disabling them completely to avoid downtime and corrupting your OS...I am not kidding
