VPN not working on Windows 10 1903

I am an IT technician at an IT company. One of our clients has asked us to install a fresh version of Windows onto 6 of their PCs.

These PC's are old PC's that they do not use - meaning that they have had a fresh version of Windows installed onto them. This has been upgraded to 1903. I have attempted to setup a VPN connection in order to connect the PC's to the company's domain. When doing so, the VPN connection just hangs on 'Connecting to vpn'

I know 1903 is still very new into the world, but wondering if anyone knows how this issue can be resolved?

    1. Reinstall VPN Software
    2. Reinstall WAN MiniPorts
    3. Troubleshoot TAP-Windows Adapter
    4. Insert an Exception for UDP by editing The Registry
    5. Configure Firewall
    6. Disable IPv6

    So that was some of the best steps that you can perform easily to set up a VPN on windows. If this still doesn’t fix your problem then try asking a network expert or your VPN provider’s support team.

    Uh, have you actually read any of this thread? That copy-n-paste that you inserted doesn't fix anything. The issue here is a bug in the UI of the task tray code for 1903, which obviously has not been fixed in 1909. 

    Oh, and BTW, I AM a network engineer and a developer...and Microsoft is the VPN provider, so where's that support team??

    Good Morning. I have version / build 1909 and only got VPN access after creating a shortcut to C: \ Windows \ System32 \ rasphone.exe. By the traditional method (using the network icon and selecting the VPN connection or going straight to the connection) it kept showing "connecting" until timeout.

    So...same symptom as 1903, and STILL not fixed. Wow...
