Hi,

I am using Asus Vivobook S15 S510UN running windows 10 1809[OS build:17763.253], I have been facing regular DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE and  VIDEO_DXGKRNL_FATAL_ERROR BSOD after windows 10 october update.

I tried different fixes mentioned in forums and even tried to many nvidia drivers from one mentioned in Asus website and also from nvidia website[Using DDU]. But till now i couldn't able to get past BSOD. So i thought sharing here.

Below you can find last 3 Mini dump file[and one Memory.DMP after latest crash], Msinfo32 and nirsoft driver view details. So any suggestions and solutions can be really helpful.

Has anyone managed to fix it? I have exactly the same problem, my laptop is a vivobook s510u, with gforce mx150 with 1 month of use, almost 1 week after buying it began to give that problem, I updated it to 1903

I am still experiencing the same problem as above with my Acer Swift 3 SF314-54G with the i5-8250u and MX150. I have been trying the new latest preview builds and the problem still continues. 1803 my system is 100% stable. I am using Stopupdates10 so that I have a temporary working solution, this completely prevents the newer updates from downloading/installing.

I truly believe that Microsoft changed the way the GPUs work starting from 1809. This issue really does need to be raised and recognised as serious bug, as laptops that are only a year old are becoming unusable. Microsoft support forums tell me it is a nvidia issue, and nvidia tell me they only supply the OEMs the hardware and do not support it directly. This problem is happening with all the laptop OEMs.

Can Microsoft raise this issue with nvidia to ensure a possible solution can be found as to why this is still occurring. Microsoft has the weight behind them to instigate some collaboration with nvidia, who can then work towards a fix. Drivers and updates are for fixing bugs,

performance and security issues etc, however if the Windows 10 team and Nvidia are unaware of this issue, how can they possibly fix the problem?

Just ignoring it or telling people to update and change drivers is becoming silly, as it is clear it is affecting a large number of people. I am sorry if I sound annoyed or distressed, however the error or bug with this hardware configuration is not being recognised as a problem, and subsequently a suitable resolution will not be put into place due to a lack of interest in this issue.

PS. I will even consider sending my laptop to Microsoft for investigation if this leads to a fix for everyone.

    Thank you .

Yeah no luck. Got a bluescreen immediately after the installation.

1809, 1903, drivers from Asus, drivers from Intel and Nvidia, doesn't matter in my case. The bluescreen stays as long as the MX150 is enabled.

I do have the smaller MX150, but my notebook is an UX331UN. I just have the same driver problems.

Btw as an update: Asus didn't respond to my mails, but it seems they uploaded new drivers on their website last month. So I'll give them a try.

Please, reply how it's goes with new driver...
