When will be the next update to fix the problem of missing the toggle to turn off the adaptive brightness in windows update 1809? This is a big issue for me in work. Waiting for your immediate answer.
I am Using Windows 10 64 bit and currently updated to build 1809 (latest)

I follow this thread for a long time from the very beginning of the problem. Now I have Win ver 1909. But when the setting was available I set up 80% brightness when laptop uses battery and 100% when power is plugged in.
So this already works: I have no access to settings but I still have 100% with power plugged and 80% from battery. And I think we all have to search somewhere in registry. Windows keeps this setting somewhere and there should be workaround to adjust it without user interface.
Unfortunately I can't make an experiment: install old version of Win 10 where this setting was still available, save registry to file, change brightness settings and compare registries. May be someone here can?

I am facing the same problem, there are no adaptive settings option awailable. In my laptop, the brightness keeps on increasing to 100 unnecessarily. I literally had a battle with laptop to minimize the brightness, but after few seconds it turns back to 100% and that's irritating.
Please help..!! I have lots of work to do... And with that brightness its impossible to work, atleast suggest me any third party aap to control the brightness... Please help...
