I am Using Windows 10 64 bit and currently updated to build 1809 (latest)

Laptop: Acer Swift 3

Thank You!

I have run into this issue too. I need to disable that adaptive brightness setting ... but no setting can be found whatsoever.

OK UPDATE. for whatever reason I reset the NEW app and retarted each time I delted and reinstalled.

BOTH times now the Brightness from 80% on Battery to 100% on Plugged in WORKED. Even after restarts it worked.

    Great??? you would think.

I did a Create a restore point then shut the laptop down. NEXT morning the settings were all gone and to change brightness I had to manually do it. UGH.

So I did s System Restore and wow the change worked as it should. GREAT??? you would think.

Every time I shut the machines down the brightness change between battery and power GOES AWAY.

    UGH UGH UGH.

UNTIL Windows pout BACK the Adaptive Brightness INTO Device Manager as previously posted... this power and battery issue will NOT stop.

    GIVE US THIS BACK PLEASE>>>

    hi,

OK I had the older version I guess>>

So I UN installed it and installed YOUR newer version above. not sure which is better because you lose the entire above but OK I did find the Adaptive brightness. When I set it on Battery the screen auto sets to 80% which is good>>

BUT when I go to Plugged in and set that

the brightness does NOT change when I Pulg it in. I still have to go to screen brightness and change to 100%.

BUT when I UNplug it the brightness stays at 100% and does NOT go back to 80% as Adaptive Brightness worked BEFORE 1809.  BTW I'm on 1909

    now what??

Maybe you can check to see if AMD graphics settings have an adaptive brightness option, it certainly should do. I guess you can try preview windows builds if not.
