Slow Internet Speed on Windows 10 1809

Dear Community,

I am getting a very slow speed internet after updating to 1809.

I raised the issue Microsoft but have heard from them, it's been more than 45 days.

I am on 100 Mbps plan, I am getting the speed on my mobile phone but on my laptop, I am getting max download speed of 5 Mbps and upload around 30 Mbps.

I have tried updating the driver but it says I am on latest version.

Please, help.

    For those of us less tech savvy, how does this help? How do I even find out how to reset network controller? Is this a one-time fix, or something I have to do regularly?

    I use Windows 10, Brazilian Portuguese, hope I can help you somehow: Right click on the network icon next to the clock> open network and internet settings> Network and Sharing Center> Change Adapter settings> 2 clicks in your network controller> properties. Will open a new window, click settings/configure, will open another window, select the advanced tab, in the list of items to configure, find speed and duplex, select 100Mbps Full / Half Duplex (test both).

    For me it was a one-time fix that completely resolved. I don't need to change anything else, even restarting the computer.

    I have a 200 mbps but with the cable goes to 10 mbps while with usb adapter goes normal.

    After making the change mentioned in the quote the network card is no longer working...

    Please help me!

    I removed 1809 and voila, it works perfectly now. not sure what 1809 changed that reduced my 5 Ghz wifi to less than 1 mbps, and my 2.5 Ghz to less than 3 mbps. but it definitely messed my wifi adapter up. and these speeds were from 2 feet away from the router.

    You have to download and install the gpedit.msc. Google it and you will find instructions on how to do it. I just had to do the same thing

    Microsoft has obviously done something to reduce internet speed.   ALL of my apple devices are getting at least twice the speed of my windows computers on RJ45,  whether they are on RJ45 or WiFi.    When you can get twice the speed on WiFi as on RJ45 windows, that's saying something, and it's not good.

    I am in process of migrating away from the Windows OS completely!
