Yeah, I guess that every Acer Aspire Switch 11v user will eventually have the exact same problem, when upgrading to 1809.
I can only urge you and all the others, to contact the Microsoft Support (Feedback Hub, hotlines, etc.) AND the Acer support, so that they have to acknowledge the problem and fix it.
I mean, for now, we could all just stay with 1803 and keep using our Laptops, but since we have the Home version of Windows 10, the Windows Update application will eventually try to ugrade to 1809 again. And then again... and again....
Even if we all upgrade to Windows 10 Pro, to be allowed to stay with 1803, Microsoft will drop the support for this version and render our computers unprotected....
So as I say, the only solution is, to make Acer and Microsoft acknowledge, that there is a problem, so that they can fix the incompatible drivers or whatever.
I for one have already contacted the Acer support and after taking their sweet time, they just replied like: "Yeah, we do not guarantee compability with this particular version of Windows", which translates to "Not our problem, buy a new Laptop if you want compability".
Nice!
Meanwhile the Microsoft support is like: "Please go ahead and issue a feedback in our dedicated Feedback Hub".
The only problem here is, that feedback in the Feedback Hub will just disappear and will be completly ignored, unless it gets +100 upvotes.
I really hope, that we can generate some attention to this problem. I bought my Acer Aspire Switch 11v not even 3 years ago and now Microsoft and Acer will render it obsolete with their idiotic update and support policies.
Greetings
Robin
