Windows 10 October update now available

Yes it is "JimWynne" but, its most likely that it has 100% to do with their imbedded software of whatever manufacturer that their comp is from! As imbedded software are not updated from 'most manufacturers' like MS does with W10, that is the manin cause of these problems and unfortunately the users are at the mercy of their brands. If you have a clean install of W10 then you will not encounter driver problems like 'GodithWeldon' has and many are complaining about. My Audio, BT, WiFi and Lan and all drivers "HAVE NOT" been affected by 1809 update and they are working perfectly.

Thanks for providing the blog post.  Good update on the current situation with 1809.  It will be interesting to see how long that Microsoft will take for them to resolve the issue and start rolling it out again.

It is, indeed, possible. In fact, it is highly probable since it has happened so frequently in the past...that certain makes of computers are being adversely affected by 1809 and we all know why. Certain manufacturers are slow to update their devices to work better with Windows 10. (They tend to be Chinese).

And there is one well known manufacturer of Processors that is guilty of similar behavior.

(AMD).

But checking for Software and Firmware Updates from the MANUFACTURERS of these devices would still be an advisable first step in correcting any issues.

If you look at the top of the page.

It says April 2018 Update in large blue letters.

When the October Update is re-issued it will say October 2018 Update.

Regarding the sizes of downloads, perhaps you could put this into FeedBack Hub?
