I updated four Surface devices (Go, Laptop, 3 and Surface Book 2) before the warning was issued. All files remained intact on all devices.

The only issue I ran into was with the Go. After the update, docx files were opening with Wordpad as opposed to Word. Easily corrected the situation. Still have a Surface Pro 3 to update once all of the smoke and dust has settled.

After updating, the number of a file size on display was reduced. However, when I transferred this file to USB memory, the total amount of the file size was recovered. I am wondering what happens.

Is there someone experienced same as me? If you are, please tell me about potentially lost files and folders.

UPDATING EARLIER POST ON DOWNLOADS FOLDER DISAPPEARING:

I can see now that since this UPDATE "Downloads" can get deleted UNLESS you deselect.

I'm sure that didn't happen before; see screenshot. Stupid idea to include "Downloads" in my opinion!

Incidentally it leaves about 6 folders in  "Downloads" for some reason, whilst exterminating remainder!
