Unable to turn off “Restricted Mode is enabled by your network administrator” in YouTube, but I AM the administrator. Help!

There might be some add-ons that might have changed the settings on your Internet Explorer or something changed upon accessing other websites that requires the protected mode making it turn on. The Enhanced Protected Mode isolates untrusted or unfamiliar web content in a restricted environment which is known as the AppContainer.

As a workaround, you check this article's troubleshooting on the Workaroundsection for Enchanced Protected Mode add-on compatibility. Be advised thought that the steps indicated on this article for Windows 7 and up that has Internet Explorer 11 installed.

Hi and thank you for your reply  (I'd actually kind 'o lost hope anyone would touch this problem!)

I've checked the ad-ons in Chrome (one of the first very basic things I did) and there's nothing there that should be causing this problem. 

This is starting to look worryingly like a hijacking - as if someone else has taken over the admin rights to my PC. 

Am I the only person on the planet with this problem?:

Judging by the static silence from Msoft (you kindly excepted), I've gotta say it's starting to look that way...  

Thanks for the Workaround suggestion though. I'll give that a look and will sure to let you know if it works.

No, you're not crazy. I'm having the same issues. For me, they started today. In the morning I was able to watch a specific video, and a few hours later I started getting that message. I'm unable to watch several videos. I get the "This video is restricted. Try signing in with a Google Apps account." And then when I try to remove the restricted mode, I am able to do so in one of my computers, but not on my phone. I do have a filtering system installed in all my devices, but this was not happening prior to today and I've had that software installed. So it's not that. I am mystified as well. I don't know what is going on and I also don't have the ForceSafeSearch thing. And Microsoft, as usual, is not being helpful. If you do find out what it is, please post again.

Thank you for breaking the utter radio silence on this - comforting to know I'm not the only soul plagued to heck with this. But I'm sorry to say, Eliezer, that no, I haven't had a peep of help from Microsoft on this highly aggravating problem.  I'm really just living with the massive inconvenience and hoping someone will eventually see my (now our) distress signal... 

...Is anyone out there onto this issue...?

So this happened yesterday: the restricted mode was off on my phone and I was able to access the video I couldn't before. But later in the day it locked it again and turned it on. This only happens on my phone, not the computer. It happens on any account I have. I have no idea how to turn it off. My filtering software is not blocking it. I have not listed it as a site to block. No idea what's going on and I doubt anyone will answer or care, to be honest.
