how to fix Sihost.exe-systems warning hard error not known windows 10

hello does anyone know how to fix Sihost.exe- systems warning  hard error unknown in windows 10 I can not open pc other than safe command prompts but tend to use safe command prompt or command prompt due to other seem to lock up

I can't get command prompt, any advise?

Try to press CTRL+SHIFT+ESC, or if that doesn't work, CTRL+ALT+DEL and open the Task Manager then click File>Run New Task and type in cmd and click the checkbox for admin privilege.

Hey guys after trying out the dism command in command prompt and the SFC command I still haven't gotten my searchbar or windows icon working after the most recent Windows Update. Also I have a sihost.exe error that when I acknowledge kills my desktop display and taskbar, but my computer still works and I can get at all my data and such via the task manager from Ctrl-Alt-Deleting. From what I can tell the issue has to do with services not being properly turned on, in fact I noticed when looking through things even Cortana seems to of died from this most recent update. I hope Microsoft offers a patch or fix for this soon.

If you get the black screen, you can try the following...

1. Hit our old friend, ctrl + alt + delete and select the task manager
2. Click on File (or alt +F) and select "Run New Task"
3. You will get the command line
4. type in explorer.exe and make sure the box that says "run as administrator" is checked

Bingo, bango, bongo.  Now you can hit Windows + R, browse to your usb with 1803 installed and run setup.exe.

After spending two weekend nights recovering from the failed 1803 update trying different non-invasive methods I eventually gave up and reinstalled one of my two broken systems from scratch. Only then I stumbled upon your helpful guide and used it to smoothly fix the second PC. Thanks again!!!
