Hi David,
A misconfiguration with the device driver can cause the error code 0x000007D1. I will need more details to properly address your issue. Kindly answer the following questions:
- How did you install the printer driver? Was it automatically installed through Windows Update or did you manually install it?
- Can you tell me the current OS Build of your Windows 10 version 1803 PC? You can find this information by clicking the
Start button, type
About your PC, press Enter, and then scroll down to
Windows specifications.
For now, I recommend performing the troubleshooting steps outlined in the articles below. The links have instructions on how to troubleshoot printer issues in Windows 10.
We're looking forward to your response.
Hello;
Windows 10 x64 Pro.
Version: 1803
OS Build: 17134.48
Everything on the system worked fine for printing till the 1803 update. It is diffidently a Windows problem. I installed the Brother's instillation program (HL-L2340DW-INST-D1-US3) and everything runs fine, except it does not print. Windows sees it and
registers everything is working fine. I run my Brother's "Status Monitor" to check my toner level. And that works fine.
The only way for me to print now is to convert or copy to dropbox or one drive so I can print from my cellphone at the moment. Please fix the problem, Microsoft messed with the driver somehow in the new update. It is no fault of my own or Brother's. Or the
driver in the 1803 update is corrupt or something.
Thank you for taking the time to help me with this problem.
