(error 0x000007d1) on Printer

Hello;

Since I have updated to the new version 1803, my Brother's HL-L2340DW Mono Laser printer will not print, and receive this error code. I have uninstalled this drivers and program 3 time and reinstalled it. It is setup for wireless. It says that the printer is there and working, but no print. It says that it has a invalid driver. So, somewhere in your programming of 1803 version Microsoft had changed something. Because it used to work flawlessly. I don't think this is a Brother's driver problem, but a Microsoft drivers problem. Fix it please! I want my printer to work again. And don't tell me it is a Brother's problem when I know it all started with the version of 1803. This is a screen shot of the error code that I get. I was trying to print a test page.

Thank You

Based on your post on printing, I think that the Microsoft Virtual Agent can help you troubleshoot your issue. It'll walk you through the right troubleshooting steps based on the specific problem you're facing.

Please let us know if this solved your issue.

For some reason my printer problems are over. I used the cccleaner program to clean up my laptop. And had to fix wifi-problems. One of those probably did the trick, but no idea how and why.

    Hi Catalin,

I would like to know more about the printing issue you're experiencing with your Brother printer. Can you tell me the exact model of your Brother printer? I would also like to know the current version of your printer driver. For the steps on how to verify which version you're using, kindly follow these steps:

    1. Select the Start button, type Device Manager, and then hit Enter.
    2. Under Printer, right-click the Brother printer driver and then select Properties.
    3. Go to the Driver tab and take note of the Driver Version.

In order to submit a report to our engineers, we'll need to have the issue replicated. Since the issue only started after installing Windows 10 version 1803, I encourage you to submit a feedback using the Feedback Hub. You can either vote on an existing submission or submit a new issue. When you submit a feedback item we gather additional details and information about your issue that will help determine what’s causing it and address it. Feedback items regularly receive Microsoft responses on the submissions in the Feedback app so you can see what we are doing about your feedback. Please revisit frequently to see the status of your feedback items.

For more information on Feedback Hub, see our support article and YouTube video.

In order to submit new feedback, please follow these steps:

    1. On a Windows 10 device, search for “Feedback Hub” in Cortana search, then launch the app.
    2. Navigate to Feedback in the left menu, then press + Add new feedback.
    3. Select the Problem, and share any details you think are relevant, and choose an appropriate category and subcategory.
    4. Important: If possible, reproduce the problem(s) after clicking Begin monitoring (or Start capture) near the end of the form; Stop monitoring when you’re done.
    5. Once you’ve completed the form and monitoring, click Submit.
    6. Click Continue using Feedback Hub.
    7. Click My feedback at the top, then find the item you submitted (it may take a while to appear).
    8. Open the item you submitted, then click Share.
    9. Click Copy link.
    10. Paste the link here in your response (it will look like https://aka.ms/****<unique> link). This information is critical in order to complete the report.

I'll be waiting for your response.
