Minecraft Windows 10 Edition - (Unable to connect to world) Friend can't join me and I can't join friend

Because it only works with pocket edition. Win10 Edition is only compatible for crossplay with pocket edition. I know because my friend is on java edition and I can't play with him. I had to get a refund of the game to get the copy I want. Win10 Edition is **** and broken to a fault because I have tried joining pocket edition servers and i get the same error. As for the ppl saying if you reset ur network in cmd will fix it. What are you stupid? That only works if its doing it in other games besides Minecraft Win10 edition. Java doesn't have this issue. But yet win10 edition does which means its a coding bug inside Win10 Edition of MC. Only recommended servers work which shows further that it is a coding bug within the game. It has nothing to do with our computers. Its a Conflict with Win10 updates and Win10 MC Edition. Before you give advice make sure you know what your talking about before you dish out solutions. Plus this edition was created by Microsoft not Mojang. Even Microsoft Tech Support/Xbox Support state this when you go to them for help. Because I couldn't even get my refund through microsoft I was redirected to Xbox support which is still Microsoft.

Ok, so something weird happened. 

I had this same issue for a few days and after waiting it off, it started working. But all of the sudden I got all of my previous friend requests and it stopped working again. I am actively seeking a fix however, I believe it's a Microsoft problem.

Ok i had the Xbox console companion open with my son profile who is in the game, when i click to join it says me and him are in the game very breifly and then its boots me saying unable to join world! this is perthetic!

The solution that was given is BS. It's not that we CAN'T log onto on line games or get on line it's the fact that you can't invite friends that are on the xbox app even though it shows they are on line. It's either a minecraft issue, xbox app issue, or combination of both.

Yeah no, this did mot work sadly.  I'm trying to connect to my sister's phone from PC. I wish she would get java! ;) She doesn't have a PC though, so that's not happening anytime soon. Anyways, if you can think of why this is happening that would be great! No worries if you can't though.
