Since installing the 1803 update, Windows File Explorer doesn't display the correct folder size if the folder is named 'Applications'.
There seems to be a bug that if the folder name is 6 characters or more and starts with 'Appli', the folder size shows significantly less than it actually is. For example if the folder is named 'Apps' or 'Appli', it will display the size correctly. If however it is named 'Applications' or 'Applix' or 'Appliy', then it won't display correctly.
The Feedback app doesn't work on my computer due to having telemetry settings set to 'Basic', therefore I am reporting the bug here instead.

MS, it seems, are too busy trying to push further decreased abilities to use the OS however the user sees fit and pushing the BS that is SaaS (which should be causing a MAJOR uproar!) than making sure that OS essentials, like reporting the correct size of a folder and it's contents, is and always will remain 100% functional and accurate. Windows is no longer about how you want to use it - it's about how you can be used.
The whole of our office was pushed to upgrade our desktops to Windows 10 and we are currently in 1803. In my view, this issue could be deadly if you are unaware of the problem and users decided to delete any empty folders based on their folder property display.
I was surprised to see MS has not solved this issue almost after a year and this thread is the proof. This seems to be a known error associated with the Long path but ignoring and not prioritizing this issue for this long is a huge mistake from Microsoft.
Today is March 22, 2019 but I could not see this issue in the ''Performance Issues - Bugs and Platform Errors (March, 2019)'' list.
Can someone from MS give an update? Silent treatment (unless this is something not possible to address) may be for a good reason but I am curious to know what it is.....
this is a pretty serious bug and it is now march 17, 2019 and no fix that i am aware of.
