Cannot Change brightness after upgrading to 1803 RTM, previously it was fine .

I had to reset windows because on installing build 17127 , it botched. Even in the botched state it had no brightness control.

Now , I don't have it even after upgrading to 17133 or 1803 rtm . 

I have tried  , installing / uninstalling Intel HD graphics driver ( very old , core i3 first gen PC) 

I have installed/uninstalled Monitors >generic PnP monitor drivers .

(monitor.sys ) is the said driver that allows / disallows F2/F3 brightness hotkey , while brightness never changes. Can you give Monitor.sys from an earlier build such that it can be tested , how do I replace the driver.

    I've installed the old Intel Driver: 8.15.10.2253 from Lenovo over the manual instalation "have disk". This worked fine for the Intel Graphics. It's adjustable again.

    This work with my hp ProBook 4520s laptop with core i3-370M. Extract (Install) it. C/Drivers is the folder used. If it doesn't install, use the Have DIsk Option from Device Manager > Display adapter > Update Driver. Go to the folder with .inf file, inside the C:\DRIVERS\IntelVideo\Graphics .

    Driver from Dell is not worked. I change link in post to driver from Lenovo this one is worked in my HP ProBook.

    IT worked . Thanks . The Lenovo one. But the lowest brightness turns off the screen. The stability is questionable.

    Extract (Install) it . C/Drivers is the folder used . If it doesn't install , use the Have DIsk Option from Device MAnager > Display adapter > Update Driver.

    I tried that. It wont let me install it. When I Uninstall it. It would install a driver as Microsoft Basic Display Adapter. Then I right click over it and click on Update Driver. I then click on Browse my computer for driver software. I click on let me pick from list of available drivers from my computer and then click "Have Disk". when I go to the folder where the old drivers are at. I just get this window with "the folder you specified doesn't contain a compatible software driver for your device. if the folder contains a driver. make sure its design to work with windows x64-base systems.

    Go to the folder with .inf file , inside the video or graphics or something like that. 

    I tried that and it find it and worked. I wonder why i couldn't use the drivers provided by my laptop. the ini files are in there. but wont load it. Yours is the only one that worked.
