I've been getting the same call for months. Figured it was a scam so stayed on line to talk with a "live" person. I said if I paid for this, you already have my method of payment so why not just refund it. The person hung up. The next time, the person went on and on about how safe it was and that she'd lose her job and just wanted me to be in front of my computer so she could assign me a number. I said I thought it was illegitimate and do not continue to call me.
Microsoft Refund Dept.
I also received a call from "Microsoft Refund Dept.". Since I didn't pick up they left a computer generated message stating her name as Kathy Jackson from tech support and to call 877 721 7434. for my refund. The reason I am posting this is I wanted to see if anyone else received such messages. Imagine my surprise when I realized the first comment about this subject was posted 2013!!! That was five years ago. Five years of people being scammed, losing money and whatever else. How could this still be happening without them being stopped? And the first one I saw was from the Netherlands, meaning this is an international scam. AND it was on this site. Doesn't anyone at Microsoft oversee their own site?

2018-09-17T21:59:45+00:00 I just received this email today. Glad to know it's a scam! Bad spelling, bad grammar, poor formatting, and a gmail address? Not exactly Microsoft standards, but I wanted to look into it to be sure!
