My PC is working really normal before update. After I update my windows 10 the system show this message.

C:\WINDOWS\system32\config\systemprofile\Desktop is unavailable. If the location is on this PC, make sure the device or drive is connected or the disc is inserted, and then try again. If the location is on a network, make sure you're connected to the network or internet, and then try again. If the location still can't be found, it might have been moved or deleted. - OK

Then I click ok after that I only see recycle bin and task bar, which can not do anything background is black, so I restart by using ctrl+alt+delete and run safe mode(safe mode with network).

In safe mode it has no This PC it just has recycle bin and some program and I can't open any file location of any program after that I turn off my pc for 30 sec then open it the result is

C:\WINDOWS\system32\config\systemprofile\Desktop is not accessible

Access is denied. -OK

Only recycle bin and task bar and black background again.

I have no idea to fix this problem any more. Please I really need some help. THANK YOU. My English is not professional I hope you understand my message.

Hi Thirut,

Open Windows File Explorer

On the View Ribbon, check the box marked 'Hidden Items'

C:\users\Default\

Right click and copy the Desktop folder contained in the Default Folder

Navigate to: C:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile

Right click and Paste the Desktop folder into the systemprofile folder

Restart (not shut sown) your PC

Hi Yousir, By sheer luck have found a British tech guy on the island who is looking at it for me at the moment, I managed to download the patch and will follow the instructions you gave earlier if he is unable to fix it. I will updatecyou when I know, but thanks once again for all your advise!

Instead of picking Safe mode, are you able to use Last Known Good Configuration? Should be in the same menu when you hit F8 during bootup

F*king Microsoft. People would warn you against downloading it from a 3rd party site, but sadly that might be your best option. Possibly the top pick below the ads if you google Windows 10 1809 ISO

Hi failed at first hurdle! The link you gave has expired, I then tried going onto the micrsoft link but although selected download tool what I got had was the file that I downloaded the same as before which was an application .exe file. The page says to create windows 10 installation media

    download tool nowd

    then below the options are

Using tool  to upgrade this pc to windows 10

or use to create installation media

followed the instruction to download tool now but this only downloaded the same file as before?

Any other info on how to get this file would be appreciated, as previously started I am not tech savvy so any advise needs to be very easy to follow thanks again to anyone and everyone who has tried to advise.
