Dear Sir,

my windows 10 64-bit version 1709 updating this KB4093112 updates in a loop, that is initializing, downloading (no download stream since the 2nd loop), installing (counting from 0% to 100%), after that, the installation restarting as a loop, what is wrong with that?

I tried restart my PC but nothing help

This workload keeps my CPU working in 60% and above, HDD working in 40% above somethings (max 100% before restart), RAM usage 45%.

Can anyone help on this?

hardware configuration:

Intel CPU i5-3450S 2.8GHz

RAM: 8GB

HDD: 1TB drive C; 2TB drive D with bitlocker locked

Display card: AMD Radeon R9 380

I was getting an error code: 0x80070bc2 when trying to install KB4093112. Following this step help resolved my problem just minutes ago:

https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows\_10-update/error-0x80070bc2-when-windows-10-update-trying-to/ba4053f2-acec-43db-9305-bca3cc2b8b0c

  • Right-click on Windows key and select Command Prompt (Admin).
  • Type the following commands in Command Prompt window. To execute them, press Enter after each one.

SC config wuauserv start= auto

SC config bits start= auto

SC config cryptsvc start= auto

SC config trustedinstaller start= auto

  • Finally, restart your PC and try to install the update that was previously returning the 0x80070bc2 error.

Did you choose the right processor and the cumulative download?  It worked for me, Error 0x8024200d was gone after a reboot.

    First solution:

    SC config wuauserv start= auto

did not work for me. I received the error

Set-Content : A positional parameter cannot be found that accepts argument 'start='.

    At line:1 char:1

    • SC config wuauserv start= auto

The second solution , the manual download. Did work for me.

    Hi Ac603xb,

To know more about your issue, may we know what troubleshooting steps have you done so far? For the meantime, we suggest that you follow the steps provided on this link.

Feel free to get back to us if you need further assistance.

I downloaded the update trouble shooting software and did all the steps including downloading the Update from the Update catalogue manually. Also did other things like disable virus software, ran MS Fixit,  sfc scannow and did the cleanup-image check.

One message I did get was Potential Windows Update Database error detected. Another time I got Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. Details are included in the CBS.log.  Windir\logs\CBS\CBS.log. Then it said: Note that logging is currently not supported in offline servicing scenarios.

I think I have done enough and now I am here actually looking for more detailed advice.  KB4093105 has failed to update 10 times so far (error 0x800f0922) and my data plan limit has been exceeded.  I really would like to get a definitive solution to get Windows 10 to update properly.

    This isn't fun.
