How LONG? how many hours? hoping for a reply as to know when will I have to do it since im working and cant stay at home for the whole day.

I have always in the past used Windows Update to get my updates.

I have now tried DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth and sfc /scannow with no issues, Windows10Upgrade9252.exe, **wuauclt.exe /updatenow,**and Windows update still doesn't work.

I see other people has the same problem with error code 0x80072ee2, but I haven't found any solutions yet.

I do have permanent fix for this, you don't need to dig into this more. 

1. Check your windows version, by pressing windows + R > winver
2. Click on https://support.microsoft.com/en-in/help/4043454/windows-10-windows-server-update-history
3. Download the latest version from Microsoft Update Catalog 
4. Install the update into your system, issue will get resolved.

Yes, a similar problem that I had.  It looks like there is more than one solution provided in the thread, but the way I solved it was to create a new user id on the machine and set it as an admin user.  I then rebooted and logged in under the new id.  Then went back to Windows Update and let it do its thing.  The updates were applied and the errors went away.  After everything looked good, I removed the temp user id from the machine.
