Whenever I try to,Check for Updates it shows This error.

    ...the troubleshoot is the first solution I tried, and it doesn't resolve the issue. After I got this issue, I see lot of people have the same issue and I see Microsoft is trying to solve the issue without success. When the Windows Update doesn't work, we have problem.

    The 10164/fix-windows-update-errors did not fix the error, I installed the 

    1709 - KB409091; still not working

    How do I stop the windows update services and purging the software distribution cache?

    How are you getting your updates?

    WSUS?

    Direct to Microsoft?

    I assume direct to microsoft as you state you have no group policies?
