windows 10 my file explorer is not responding.

Open Start, type: file explorer options
Hit Enter
Select the General tab
Click Restore defaults
Could be an issue with your display driver.
uninstall your display driver then restart
Press Windows key + X
Click Device Manager
Expand Display adapters
Right click the current display adapter
Click Uninstall
Exit Device Manager
Restart

Right click Start button to open Task Manager.
On Processes tab, scroll down to Windows Explorer under Windows Processes. Highlight, then click Restart button at bottom.

But remember that Factory or Upgrade installs are inferior installs which most enthusiasts won't even run because they'd expect endless issues. Thank you Andre, "uninstall your display driver then restart" worked, however I had to hard boot my computer as my display was blank, then booted up, screen came on, then performed a restart. File explorer is now functioning in order to use mouse to use right click functions i.e. copy/paste. What is your advice on how to restart without monitor access? Thank you.
explorer not responding
Right I'm having an issue. I really need help with this! So basically I play sims 4 and I'm trying to download a mod and it takes me to a small window where I have to open it. When I click open it takes me to bing for a second and then disappears with nothing downloaded. The files are being downloaded from chrome, but when I look at the files in the folder they have internet explorer signs next to them, so when I download them it takes me to the file manager in internet explorer! Its really starting to annoy me now can someone help!
