Windows 10 missing first keystrokes from Microsoft Designer Bluetooth Keyboard after Fall Creators' Update

After updating to the Fall Creators' Update, Windows misses the first several keystrokes from my Microsoft Designer Bluetooth Keyboard. This occurs when after rebooting, first logging in or simply after the keyboard has been idle for a bit.  The problem happens not only in Windows, but in all applications, too.

I have replaced the keyboard batteries and the problem persists.

I have tried another identical keyboard and the problem persists with that keyboard, too.

I have checked for driver updates, but Device Manager indicates that I have the latest drivers.

The problem did not happen before updating to the Fall Creators' Update.

Have you heard anything from Microsoft?  We're in the same position. Three PC's all with Microsoft Designer Keyboards all going to sleep after a few minutes of idleness. It seems to lose somewhere between 1 and 3 characters then picks up. I guess it might be down to how fast we hit the keys.

    Why not

    Always be honest

    Own up to issues

Attack problems as soon as they occur

I tell my staff that is how we operate.

Same annoyance here. Would love to get some feedback from microsoft, like; "No worries, we'll take care of it". And then, suddenly, I woke up.

We still have three Microsoft Designer Keyboards in our company. They all have this problem ever since the W10 Fall Update  - including one used with a Microsoft Surface Book (the other two are on Dell Precision laptops). The fault is a really irritating time waster.

I have written on this site 3 times and also on the Feedback Hub.

Do Microsoft actually monitor this or the Feedback Hub they recommend? Or ever respond to anything I wonder? Does anyone know an email address for support from a human Microsoft employeee?

Perhaps someone from Microsoft will reply? But I won't hold my breathe.

Exactly same problem. Extremely annoying when doing ctrl-c and ctrl-v. You thought you had copied something into the clipboard, but you hadn't.
