Feature update to Windows 10, version 1709 fails to install

I get that in PowerShell. Try it in a Command Prompt (Admin).

(1) Let's be sure there is no bad memory list.

(a) Ask Cortana for "CMD"; right-click it, & select "Run as administrator".

(b) Copy/paste the following command:   bcdedit /enum {badmemory}

(c) If yours has a list, then copy/paste:  bcdedit /deletevalue {badmemory} badmemorylist

(2) If that really isn't the solution, then update all the big drivers - video, chipset, etc.. Does a make & model show up in MSInfo32 (ask Cortana)? Its site may have updated drivers. Check especially for BIOS & other firmware updates. Otherwise, use Device Manager to update them (search automatically). Also, check the sites of the component manufacturers for updated drivers.

(3) Can something else be using your RAM? Open Disk Management to see whether something can be spotted in there. I'm not really sure what to look for - maybe a VM (Virtual Machine). If you have one, can you turn it off?

Edit: It's a good idea to backup the BCD before making changes to it...

BCDEdit  /Export  "C:\BU\BCD Backup"       //Backup the BCD into the file "BCD Backup"..

                                                                         //The BU subfolder is auto-created, if necessary.

If necessary, it can be restored with:   BCDEdit /Import "C:\BU\BCD Backup"

Has anyone gotten a solution that works yet?  I get cannot create a ram disk every time windows tries to install the creator 1709 update.   it fails, recovers, downloads and fails again. lather rinse repeat.  this has failed soooo many time it is not even funny at this point.

I tried all the different solutions I found, the BCDboot commands to clean out bad memory, delete all updates and reload them. all install ok but the 1709

Wipe and reload is not an option as I do not want to reload all the music an pictures and so on.
