Hi, I am trying to install the Creators Update on my computer, but it fails and has to recover every time I try. What system information should I post to help troubleshoot why the update continues to fail?

Thanks!

-Andrew

That's what I meant. Ok, got it. Too bad it doesn't produce the error message here, probably because it is offline...

I see {bootmgr} is no longer on top. Did you move it back down? But leave it like that for now, because {bootmgr} is probably the worst bad guy in there...

Does it say "device   unknown" for you too now in the {bootmgr} entry? On page 5 of this thread, your listing showed...

    device       partition=\Device\HarddiskVolume1

Give me awhile to play with that, but really I think "BootRec /RebuildBCD" is in the offing for you.

That's the one I want, then. Upload that one. If avoidable, don't put a filetype (.txt) on it.

    BCDEdit  /Export  C:\BU\BCD_Backup

    Then, upload "BCD_Backup"

I guess you may as well delete "BCD Backup" & the logs that go with it, just to be neat.

Does BCDEdit -enum BootMGR show a device or does it show "unknown"?
