in win 10, maximized window won't drag

Hi. I turned off snap and now a maximized window on my desktop won't drag and get smaller.

I browsed this site and did the Restorehealth in the command prompt thing, also sys scannow with no help.

In regedit, my hkey current user control panel desktop Drag from Maximum is set to "1".

How do I keep snap off and be able to drag maximized windows?

    When I tried the fix mentioned, it seems that it turned snap back on.

    It seems to me that there are two options:

    1. Snap turned on: You are able to drag maximised windows but the window "snags" when dragging between screens.

    OR

    1. Snap turned off: You ate UNABLE to drag maximised windows but it doesn't "snag" when dragging between screens.

    Frankly, I don't like either of these options.

    I'm getting a little tired of things that work getting "broken" by updates.

    I had the same problem.

    Go to Settings

    Select Multitasking

    Turn on all of the options there.,

    Problem fixed.

    This is exactly what I found, too. I just switched from using Nvidia Surround to not using it (waiting on a DisplayPort cable so I can configure Surround correctly). With Surround, I've become very used to dragging maximized windows between screens without snapping, since technically the whole desktop is a single screen when in Surround as far as the OS is concerned. After turning off Surround, this is one of the most glaring changes I've noticed; it seems like such an obviously beneficial feature that I'm shocked to learn that my previous functionality was a side-effect of Surround but isn't supported natively in Windows.
