Turn off your computer and turn it back on. The cellular connection should now work.

My new Laptop is a Lenovo T470s (S/N PC0PXLX1) with a "Sierra Wireless EM7455 Qualcomm Snapdragon X7 LTE-A" WWAN card.
After working well for 6 weeks, I am now unable to get an internet connection using that adapter.
Windows 10 network diagnostics tells me I need to "Enter a SIM PIN2 to unlock the mobile broadband device". I can find no way to enter anything.
Tech support at both AT&T and Lenovo have never heard of SIM PIN2 and each blames the other for the problem. I have talked to each several times and have been referred to "advanced tech support."
My internet provider is AT&T.
This community has referred to a "provider specific software" that solved one participant's similar problem.
My provider, AT&T, has given me two PUK numbers. I suspect their PUK2 may be the SIM PIN2, but I still have no way to utilize that information.

2019-06-06T20:41:32+00:00 What finally worked for me was installing the manufacturer's WAN card software. What this actually did was update the firmware on the WAN card. Once this firmware was updated, everything worked like a charm.

You will have to select your carrier and either Windows or Linux and you may have to create an account to drill down but its free.
Hi thanks for the link, I tried it and how do I know if it works or not? I just did this not even 5 minutes ago if not I'll try again. Thank you again I'll keep my fingers crossed.

2019-06-03T04:47:35+00:00 I updated the firmware for the internal WWAN card (in my case it was a Sierra Wireless EM7455 Qualcomm Snapdragon X7 LTE-A) from Sierra Wireless and not the laptop manufacturer or Microsoft Windows 10 and everything has worked ever since.
