Automatic repair couldn’t repair your PC

My computer wouldn't start and entered into an Automatic Repair. The automatic repair "couldnt repair [my]PC". 

It specifies the following Log file: E:\Recovery\WindowsRE\Winre.wim\System32\Logfiles\Srt\SrtTrail.txt

Hi Steven,

This error occurs due to a possible corrupted startup file. For us to troubleshoot this issue, we suggest that you follow these steps:

  1. Restart your computer for 3 times to see Windows 10 Boot Options menu.
  2. Choose Troubleshoot.

3. Click on Advanced Options.

4. Select Command Prompt. 5. When Command Prompt appears, enter the following command lines and press Enterafter each: - bootrec.exe /rebuildbcd - bootrec.exe /fixmbr - bootrec.exe /fixboot 6. Restart your computer and check if the issue is resolved.

    Gave to bro in law who downloaded windows 10 onto a usb drive and installed onto my laptop and it worked.

    Wanna know too !!

    The srt log file has notting else, just "Bad shutdown"

    Wtf?? I see the problem happening, and this isnt true

    I give up and install Windows 7

    I tried all methods and failed, so I decided to reset my PC. But... even that didnt work. What is going on here? What kind of windows update made this happen?
