how do I remove Microsoft Launcher from my phone

I decided to respond to an email and sync my phone to 10.  After downloading, ti presented one program after another to download and will not accept a refusal and it keeps showing me ads.  I want my old control system back.  I cannot erase Microsoft launcher but I did deactivate it.  That has helped some. I have trouble getting the home page to have what I need on it and I have difficulty using it as a phone now at times although deactivating it did help this. Can I go back to my old management system on my galaxy 6?

    Darleen Pen,

I realise your answers are intended to help and for that, thank you.

However, Microsoft should never have invited users to use this application on their phones without a complete disclosure statement that to access the link is equivalent to allowing Microsoft to completely hijack one's phone.  It has taken me the better part of an entire day to restore my phone to it's original settings.  This upgrade is NOT helpful for those who want simply to be able to access their PC from their phone or vice versa.

    NOT happy.

The answer that worked for me was posted above:

    1. go to the Google Play store
    2. search for Microsoft Launcher
    3. when it is found, you will have two active buttons: "Uninstall" and "Open"
    4. choose "Uninstall" and it will uninstall!

    It's as easy as that!

Go to "settings" (or "Launcher Settings"), select "apps", select "Microsoft Launcher". When the app opens, in the top right corner you will see three dots, select. Select "Uninstall All". The App will uninstall.

Thank you! I installed this earlier this morning and wasn't expecting MS to completely take over my phone. All of my previous apps across the different screens, gone. Would have taken hours to get things back the way I like it when all I wanted was the ability to send some small bits of info back and forth with my microsoft account.

I absolutely hate how software companies thing they know what's best for you these days. All the initial notice I got from MS and the creator update was about sharing docs across apps, I didn't want, nor need a new launcher installed.

    Thanks for the help,.
