Bluetooth Keyboard PIN

I am having the same issue; namely, when I try to pair my keyboard (to a Win10 Mobile device) it sees the keyboard (Listing it as a "Bluetooth 3.0 Keyboard, Input") as available to pair.   When I touch on the keyboard to pair and it asks for the pin.  I do not know the PIN and there is no default PIN for the device.  (I attempted to pair the Keyboard to an Android device, the Android device generated a new PIN and I entered that and it works with that device).

It appears that I need to wipe out the Win10 device's previous association with the BT keyboard so that I can start the pairing process again, but I cannot find any documentation on how to do that.

    I found solution for my keyboard... When it pops out to put PIN just tipe 4 digit number and click connect and then press the same 4 digit PIN code on your bluetooth keyboard and press enter/return

    I had to use an 8-digit PIN in order to get this method to work. And I had to try it about 50 times. But finally the stupid bluetooth keyboard connected to my PC. What awful technology this Bluetooth stuff is -- how did it ever become an industry standard?

    Keyboard is an old (from 2005?) Xboard bluetooth trackball keyboard, manufactured by Wireless Engineering Inc.

    Excellent answer! It worked for me. The input box is really asking you to set your own pin, click "connect" and then confirm it quickly on the bluetooth keyboard. I wish the Microsoft techs could explain stuff more simply.

    Hello! As a solution, I performed the following steps.

    1- I found and noted the PIN number on another computer (eg 84995050)

    2- I turned on my bluetooth device

    3- I clicked Add bluetooth device or other device from the control panel on my laptop.

    4- It found the keyboard and asked for a PIN. After entering the PIN number with the laptop keyboard, I entered the same PIN number with the Bluetooth keyboard and clicked Enter.

    5- Result: I'm typing this message with my Bluetooth keyboard :)
