Windows 10 update sucks.

I'm running windows 10 since the very beginning and it is ok. Better saying, it was ok until 2 days ago when my computer was updated to the biggest update ever done. It happens that now it takes years to boot and a few minutes ago (that's when I turned it on) my fingerprint reader does not work anymore and during boot the monitor goes off just after windows starts. I wonder if Microsoft is paying the salaries of those programmers responsible for this update. Perhaps they have done something wrong to upset Microsoft, or is it just stupidity?

Now, I WANT my computer to work the way it did before this stupid update. I don´t won't to remember dozens of usernames and passwords (that's why I spent a lot of money buying a fingerprint reader, which now is useless due to the unprofessional update made by Microsoft). My Microsoft trackball runs or not runs after boot. Is this normal? Don't you test your programs before releasing them to the public?

Do you know what? You suck, just because you wanted to do this major update before Christmas. Well... you've ruined my Christmas with it. SHAME ON YOU!

Hello,

It is possible that system files might have been damaged or corrupted after installing an update, or that the update installed has known issues.

For resolving corrupted system files, you may run the System File Checker tool to scan and repair the system for corrupted system files. For information about running the tool, kindly see this article.

However, some issues occur only after installing a certain update. An example of a known issue in an update is after installing KB4074588 (latest update), USB devices, such as keyboard or mouse, stop working. Microsoft is already aware of this issue and will provide a resolution through an update. To see the list of known issues for each update, kindly see Windows 10 and Windows Server 2016 update history.

If the System File Checker tool does not help, you can restore your PC from a system restore point. This would take your PC back to a point in time before an update is installed. For information on how to restore your PC from a system restore point, kindly see Recovery options in Windows 10.

After restoring, you may prevent the update from reinstalling by downloading and running the Show and hide updates troubleshooter. To read more about the troubleshooter, kindly read through this article.

    Yes, they suck but after a year of hell I gave up. I now use my ipad 99%at home and suffer at work with windows.

    Same problem. I didn't sign up for this when I upgraded to Windows 10. The updates NEVER stop, and each time it updates I have to say a novena that it won't trash my computer (I run a biz off this thing). My laptop's about 4 and a half years old (not an ancient bucket of bolts), but it's like Microsoft is strong arming me into buying a new one with their never ending, faulty updates.

    When they had a big one a few months ago, I thought my computer was fried and I would have to shell out 500+ bucks for a new one. As a last gasp, I called Microsoft tech support. Have to say, their LIVE phone support is good. The techs spent about 3 hours with me and got it up and running again. Forget these Internet techs. They suck. CALL them and get a tech on the phone.

    Even though my laptop's running fairly well now, this is the last time I buy a windows based PC. From now on it's Mac. There should be a class action suit against Microsoft for all the perfectly good computers Windows 10 and its updates have trashed.

    I've just got the confidence to download Linux Cinnamon so you can see where I'm headed.

    I have a PC and two laptops so I'll start with the older Acer Laptop (March 2008) and see how I go.

    All the extraneous crap that is included with W10 gives me the irrits! I just want to run Word and Excel or equivalents!!

    I have the same problems.

    It was working fine before the update, now applications crash out with no error message.

    I beleive they mislead some driver development 

    Also, memore and cpu drains a lot of intensity

    Something isn't right

    might switch to other systems.
