Latest Windows update makes everything HUGE

My husband's desktop (running Windows 10) downloaded and installed a major Windows update Nov. 22. After it did, his screen is huge. Icons, text, everything. I checked his resolution, icon size, text size and ease of access settings -- nothing out of place. Resolution is normal. Icon size is small. Text size is normal, all ease of access off. The screen zoom is 100%. If I system restore to before the update, it's fine. I tried to change the active hours to give myself a day to hunt down the answer today, but it updated again this morning, and the problem is back. We've restarted, powered off and did a hard restart, powered off and checked the monitor settings. It has to be a bug or a conflict with the new update, but I'm stumped. Anyone??

    Hi All,

    The Latest AMD Driver has some problems and here are some suggestions which you can try:

    Go to Device Manager by typing in Devmgmt.msc in Run dialog box. 

    Navigate to Display devices and right click ATI Radeon HD. Choose Properties. 

    On the Driver tab, hit rollback Driver to go back to the previous version. 

    The next step would be to block Driver updates from Windows updates. For this, 

    Option 1:

    Option 2: Use the show hide tool. As soon as the new driver is detected by WU, hide it. Steps are here:

    Also, KB4055254 (if applicable) can also be a root cause. If the above steps don't help uninstall the update:

    I tried the first part and it worked! Thank you. However under option 1 under Advance Options my settings does not display that third check box choice in the middle but only the other two. Amazing. So I will try option 2.

    So I performed option 2 nd downloaded the hide tool to hide the AMD update dated 08/17. Hopefully that is the end as everything appears to be back to normal. if there is anything that needs to be done now or in the future, please post. Thanks again.

    This can only be resolved by Microsoft. Any instructions given to the end user try to resolve this issue will probably be useless.

    Well, this is very inconvenient. And for some users who aren't very technically inclined, this is disabling. I'm really frustrated that MS didn't foresee and fix this before pushing this update out. It hasn't affected one user, but probably tens of thousands, judging from the number of posts and views just in this community. Hope they fix it within days after the holiday weekend. This is a little better than a really bad virus, though.

    Microsoft updates are to protect are computers from hacks and viruses yet this is just as bad.
