Latest Windows update makes everything HUGE

To everyone who haven't resolved this yet:(I am combining all the solutions into one post)

Option 1.Try Rolling back if you have an option:

Option 2. Remove AMD drivers completely and Install the legacy ones from the AMD site:

What you need to do:

1. Uninstall everything of AMD using this: http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/AMD-Clean-Uninstall-Utility.aspx and reboot
2. Reboot.
3. Make sure your device manager shows Microsoft Basic Display adapter.
4. Download the legacy driver from here(You might have to do a bit of exercise to locate the driver:

http://www.support.amd.com/en-us/download

5.Run the Setup and you should be good to go.

Option 3: See if Windows itself has some history of the Older Driver:

Please note all the steps need temporarily disabling of Windows update or driver updates so that newer driver doesn't install automatically.

The Latest AMD Driver has some problems and here are some suggestions which you can try:

Go to Device Manager by typing in Devmgmt.msc in Run dialog box. 

Navigate to Display devices and right click ATI Radeon HD. Choose Properties. 

On the Driver tab, hit rollback Driver to go back to the previous version. 

The next step would be to block Driver updates from Windows updates. For this,

Option 2: Use the show hide tool. As soon as the new driver is detected by WU, hide it. Steps are here:

I tried the first part and it worked! Thank you. However under option 1 under Advance Options my settings does not display that third check box choice in the middle but only the other two. Amazing. So I will try option 2.

I don't know who gave the instructions regarding the recent Windows update but their suggestion DID work.  HOORAY.  Thank you so much.  I went into Device Manager and changed the Driver to a Rollback to previous one and it did the trick.  Thanks again

It could be software conflicts that are causing your desktop to appear huge after the update. We would like to have a screenshot of the issue. You can try performing a **clean boot**in your PC. It will help eliminate software conflicts that occur when you install a program or an update or when you run a program in Windows 10. You can also try to boot to safe mode and check if the issue occurs.

In the spirit of the day, at least his update went through, didn't time out halfway through, didn't erase any programs or end in a blue/black screen! The size thing is seriously annoying, though.
