Today, after a windows 10 update, Office 2019, my entire document history, downloads and scans have been removed from my hard drive. Pictures a mail remains. I have tried all the recommended avenues to recover my important documents to no avail, nothing remains on my C Drive. Do i have a roll back option? or has Microsoft stopped my activity in its tracks?
Automated Windows 10 updates deleted all my documents and files
I am in a state of shock. I was already using windows 10 and last night automated updates started without allowing me to stop them. This morning my computer is cleaned out with all thosevery important document deleted!!! Microsoft can do that??? How can I recover them ALL?????

2020-09-15T15:18:48+00:00 I reported the same thing 2 years ago-- But do not expect any response from MS-- All you will get are series of complaints by other users about the same disaster! Anyhow, first check a file called Windows.OLd or something like that; if no use, take your computer to a professional repair shop. Cross your fingers! Usually, there is no hope of retrieving the lost applications, photos, etc. but let's hope!
It is as if a Microsoft programmer has intentionally created an internal virus (I call it MS disease) within the major automatic updates! And now the company and its software is too large to be able to find the cause of this super-bug!
In any case, after all these useless rants: if you have Windows 10 professional, postpone the updates for year. But do not stop there: check my previous messages as how you can block MS automatic updates for good, despite everything! That is what I did.
Finally, let your family members and friends know about it, before the disaster strikes. Unfortunately, it is like COVID-19: people are in total denial until it happens. Take care.

2020-09-15T09:39:47+00:00 My issue is simple. An unaccepted update, over which I had absolutely no control has wiped out my personal system profile. (Sorry about the quality of the photo but it shows this only fleetingly and is hard to capture). I can't even access windows explorer to see if anything is left on my hard drive. As far as I know everything has gone. Who gave Microsoft the right to put this (malware) on my PC? All my family photographs gone, my online training gone (test next Monday should be interesting). Everything.
