Original question:

I've got a random Amazon KFAUWI device showing up on my network as a device beside my driver for my router. Can anyone help? I am sure it is not a device in my house, as everything is set to something we've done or one of our names. Can anyone tell me if i'm stupid or if this is a general happening?

It's an Amazon firestick.  I just saw the same thing (called Karnak) on my PC after hooking the (what I thought was a USB) from my brother's laptop to my PC. (If you're wondering why, my brother recently died from Covid :( and I'm going through his stuff)

In my case, it turned out to be my Alexa Echo Dot device.

I had recently upgraded my home network and hadn't updated the wireless settings. The device was showing up trying to connect to the network, would then fail and drop off. It would periodically try to connect again. I noted the mac address of the mysterious device, and then fixed the network connectivity on the Alexa Dot. When I checked the MACs of the connected devices, the same previously mysterious MAC was now connected with an IP address and a description of "amazon-17a28fce5"
