Amazon Device randomly showing up on Network.

Original question:

I've got a random Amazon KFAUWI device showing up on my network as a device beside my driver for my router. Can anyone help? I am sure it is not a device in my house, as everything is set to something we've done or one of our names. Can anyone tell me if i'm stupid or if this is a general happening?

    I have the same problem. Two devices will show up, than go after a minute. I also got another one ''LIFE_X8'' by BLU.

    They all have different MAC addresses but if I reboot, they reappear again and with the same MAC. (wi-fi detection nearby)

    I restored my computer from a Windows 10 image, which I never experienced these problems and those devices have nothing to do with applications or drivers.

    I would say it's a Wi-Fi nearby

    I wound up re-configuring and relocated my router and the issue has gone away, this has actually helped my whole house coverage, and removed some dead spots. Since the Fire Tablets don't appear to be getting any security updates have barred them from Future use until I get them on an isolated router.

    This is a really late comment, but I just saw I have a "suez" on my computer. The only recent amazon product I have are some amazon speaker that required a usb connection for power from my PC. Once I unplug and replug that connection, the device doesn't show up anymore on the network. (at least for now)

    Good day JoeT55,

    Thank you for your response, that answers the Amazon, issues, but the two TVs, several phones, the issue only happens on my 2.4 GHZ band, my Samsung Blue rays may be the security offender but not sure. Just annoying how my bandwidth was dropping  when that was happening paying for a GB service, when this was occurring some devices download speeds was less than 2 MB/sec. Typically the units on the 2.4 GHZ is 25-40 MG/sec, and the 5ghZ units are about 100-250 mb/sec.

    I have locked down my router further, cycled down all devices together including the router and so far the issue has not returned. But will make several other improvements to my network when the gear arrives.

    But one on my PCs appears to have had the ability to switch between my bandwidths corrupted from all of this. I have not cycled either Samsung  units back on to my network yet or the Fire tablets and the issue appears gone.
