Original question:

I've got a random Amazon KFAUWI device showing up on my network as a device beside my driver for my router. Can anyone help? I am sure it is not a device in my house, as everything is set to something we've done or one of our names. Can anyone tell me if i'm stupid or if this is a general happening?

I'm not 100% sure - I have the same thing, but I'm wondering if it's a Kindle. The switched from whisphernet to wifi a while back, but I don't think it "lives" on the network... Just wondering...

I do wonder, does anyone with the Amazon device popping up have an AMAZON Dash button(s)?

I have an Intel I7-6700K, I'm on DSL and have seen this popup just recently. I've blocked this MAC in my Router which is the only way any device would have access to my main PC. I also show a phone on my network from time to time that is Named acawhl_00651: HTC Bolt (2PYB2) just like this Amazon device.

I TOO HAVE THIS  EXACT  DEVICE.... OK  COME ON  WHAT IS THE SOLVE TO ALL THIS NONSENSE? KINDA  SCARRY...

I have seen the same problem.  I have a Workstations Specialist Laptop, a Netgear Nighthawk Router and TooWay satellite broadband.  Devices on my network are all wired. The austin device has a storage icon. Mac address is b4:7c:9c:e1:0c:fc and the Model number is KFAUWI, allegedly from Amazon. It seems to be a WAN thing: With the Amazon device icon showing I disconnected the router from the satellite modem and the icon disappeared. Reconnect, it comes back.  Twice so far.
