• now the focus is on developing Windows 10 mobile // if this endeavor succeeds than major manufacturers can adopt the OS & market shares can rebound to an upward trend // Lumia Windows Phones are an example to how to make your phone work like your PC // because the OS had to be improved Lumia manufacturing has been discontinued // it is true that very few Windows Phones are manufactured, but Windows 10 mobile gets better month by month //

++ ebay might offer some chances (especially in the US), but there are risks. // in my opinion there is room for more OS in the mobile market ++ duopolies are risky ++ it is better to have more choice & if someone appreciates a Windows PC than has consideration also for Windows Phone ++ so surely is there a potential represented by these users. //

• the apps in the Windows 10 / Microsoft Store can cover your day // there are the native news apps (society, economy, sport) + many others reuters, nbc, usatoday, cbs // the company has developed many of its core apps also for the rival platforms & has under 10 million downloads : (with a proper strategy Windows Phone users can match that number). There are many native Microsoft productivity apps, e.g. our great calculator, apps for learning, e.g. Microsoft Math, the translator, many native apps for the business sector. On the entertainment side some games are discontinued, but there are many more still active. If Windows 10 compares to an evergreen tree than the branches are important, because may influence the future development of the tree. Windows 10 mobile is a fresh and important branch & the company has to protect a great product //

• Lumia 950/ 950XL (phablet category), Lumia 650 (an XL variant could upgrade the Lumia 640XL), Lumia 550 are all competitive, in my point of view, in their classes so would have a future // I remember (but not surely) that the Vietnam plant has been sold for $350 million //  for cost-effectiveness are the smartphones manufactured in lower-wage locations (there are also hubs or manufacturing clusters in these regions) // it would be interesting to see the price of devices in different manufacturing scenarios on different locations (let's see how will world trade develop in the coming years) // I have liked even the Anniversary Update & would have been nice a more anniversary support-cycle for it //

Continue manufacturing for the fans of Microsoft who are very many worldwide.

Yes - surely it wouldn't cost Microsoft too much to have 2 or 3 Lumia phones in their store, being updated yearly and only being sold direct by Microsoft?

With time, it will reclaim its place as the best phone in the world
