++ the future of Microsoft Lumia mobile phones ++

++ the manufacturing process of Microsoft Lumia mobile phones is discontinued, but many of them are still in action and competitive. In my opinion, the timing for their launch alongside the first versions of Windows 10 mobile has been a problem (later versions of Windows 10 mobile are more competitive). I compare the path of Microsoft Lumia phones with the path of Mercedes F1 Team. If you have perseverance, you can win, but you need to have realistic intermediary goals. You must not be number one from the start, but rather be on the field, with competitive, distinctive devices (1% market share can be achieved with the core fans of Microsoft Windows). 1% is not a small number of users & translates to even more when we focus on Windows users. So my question is for Microsoft & fans // is it possible to continue the manufacturing process of Microsoft Lumias for the fans of the brand & Windows ? // ++  #theWindowsthatneversleeps +

    • there are previsions, that a (polar) bear market could cause stock corrections, which could amount to - 40%. If companies have more business projects or ventures can survive better in such difficult times (Microsoft invests 10s of millions in many domains (e.g. ride hailing app to name the latest), but for now misses our Lumia line ++ hope that the snow will help them develop some synergy vision).

++ heads up (hands up BASIN), the company is going to make Windows better & it is worth the wait...++ ![](https://learn-attachment.microsoft.com/api/attachments/81df6b3c-ff3b-41d6-b5c9-c1502ea63891?platform=QnAversion 1607 is now living history (hope for the best for this version & a better future for version 1709)...Anniversary update has been competitive & the last build of version 1803 has been stable & very competitive...keep up the good work & entertainment & success

++ MS surface has entered into top 5 USA PC vendors & with more fair-play we can see that Lumia's results has been there & with better product management, better pricing strategy, better distribution & promotion Windows 10 mobile can be a leading choice for (at least) Windows OS users //

++ 📱 📱 ++ looks like the Microsoft Phone project it is active, but of course I hope for a new beginning of the Lumia line : looks like the new phone will be more like an aircraft carrier & Microsoft will need the good "old" Lumia flagships & the Lumia fleet.

Been laughing for the last half hour, as I read that the latest "update" to Windows is deleting users documents. I may have wet myself.

Windows mobile 10 is dead. You have about 14 months to buy either an Android phone or an iPhone. Then, bye bye! So the security updates will stop, and with no major apps, outdated security, and no new features, it will be officially dead in Dec of 2019.

Again, Wiley Fox does not make that phone. I would suspect that there is a wearhouse full of other novelties that bankrupt Wiley Fox will spew out as well. Again, dead OS.

And, in a few posts back, you mention that the competition doesnt care for old OS versions. Microsoft is the absolute king of this, aren't they?

As for Chris, yes, the fact that the company ended app support may have something to do with your issue.

Well, I'm off to print some things off my Pixel phone.

+the 93 top IT expert tries to present the exceptions as a rule +the users experience that the majority of OS & native app updates are bringing things forward # e.g. a new look for the store

    • yes it would be great an OS, which supports all functional hardware, possibly with different experiences, e.g. prime OS for newer devices, but pushing basic support for the older ones & encouraging users to upgrade with incentives, such as a fan points system //

    • just have watched "Unstoppable" on YouTube to consolidate the new comparison... well I think Microsoft has been disoriented, made some false assessments & got off the train, which has to be Windows 10 mobile // & MS Lumia, HP or Wiley Fox are some heroes trying to save the runaway train, which is obviously still powerful, full of potential (& although celebrating legacy in a museum is great, this OS has a bright future ++ at least for some individual Windows users) //

++ so why Windows Phone, because it is special, useful & it is Windows (& Windows has never given up development in Microsoft history) ... of course company history can change in any direction (given the fact that some founders are out & it is not easy to feel the spirit of a company for new key players)

++ MS Windows deserves to be in mobile & there are users who are happy to use Windows Phone

++ the mobile OS market is huge & there is room for more than a duopoly

++ in F1 there are not too many engine manufacturers, but there are at least 4 //

++ because the leadership has promised the bold fact that, even if no one manufactures Windows Phones, Microsoft will make them (& some bold promises has to be kept at least a couple years)

++ the company plays pragmatism & openness (& let us say it is OK to have MS mobile apps on rival platforms) ... and still if you say that these apps are running best (or with some advantages) on Windows, then many users would opt for Windows Mobile at least as a secondary phone //

++ Cortana will suffer without Windows 10 Mobile //

++ we, the users can try to move things with constructive critics, solutions (at least these we can do for Windows 10 mobile) & maybe so the users will be part of a legend //
